Since I was a little boy, I dreamed of founding a community… inspired by reading stories and books that spoke of people sharing their produce equitably and in solidarity to sustain a collective space.
I dedicated myself to teaching, understanding that specific knowledge was merely an excuse to form citizens…
The question now is… for what kind of community?
That is where this proposal begins… one that we have already questioned several times… within today’s cities, … is there a chance to generate new collectives that uphold the principles and values that sustain a healthy community?..

Aloha! Is this mandatory?
What would you like to do?
Okay! A year has passed, and that might be a very short time for most, but for me, it’s a lot.
In these nine months and eleven days of the year, I learned a lot about the reality of living in a community.
I lived in 4 countries, more than 20 physical spaces, wrote one book, and read more than 5.
I spent almost ten days in the jungle, in a new age tribe concept, where some charged a lot of money.
I was stranded in Costa Rica, without money, a cell phone, or food. Close to those around me, with no other reality than “the truth.”
I spoke with millionaires, homeless people, Catholics, anarchists. Inhabitants from all continents.
Everyone lives, everyone thinks, everyone feels.
And my conclusion is that you build by building , just as you study by studying or walk by walking.
So, to build a community, one contributes time and money. The rest is pure fiction.

They are generated spontaneously when there is a common goal strong enough for them to be generated (and sustained).
Most people live in society, not in community, which exists as long as that goal is not recognized or respected.
There, they say that everything is individual and most people believe it, even though nature shows us the opposite (every day).
For a long time, I’ve only associated with artists

Adding something I just read and found curious to share:
Eating your own food or “dogfooding” is the practice of using one’s own products or services.
It can be a way for an organization to test its products in real use using product management techniques.
Hence, dogfooding can act as quality control and ultimately as a kind of testimonial advertising.
Once on the market, dogfooding can demonstrate developers’ confidence in their own products.
