The majority of the world’s writers have taken or take alcohol on a daily basis.
The same applies to most of the musicians or street artists I have crossed paths with in life, whom I admire with total recognition.
Alcohol is part of nature, even if it is a mostly distilled derivative and we don’t find it as such in a puddle or a mountain lake.
So, as a human creation, it can destroy or build, depending on the purpose we have when using it.
If it is for consumption, to kill time, it generates headaches. And the same will happen if it is to build up the courage to do something or to lose one’s memory.
But if you intend to generate out-of-the-box thoughts, it seems they have scientifically proven its contribution:
Since it is a piece of data, we analyze it in context and from our own experience.
So that doesn’t mean we have to drink alcohol to be creative.
Because we searched for more info and found that traveling, meditating, and maintaining nutritious and balanced diets contribute more to creativity:
But going beyond those two articles, we arrived at the science that confirms the initial idea.
Drinking moderately disconnects us from the Matrix, because we stop thinking about what we have to do, and that naturally puts us in the position of doing what we want ![]()

And that happens because alcohol stimulates our flexibility when solving problems:

How can we apply this?
By doing whatever comes out if we are drinking, but not by following orders, rather by following our intuition.
If you feel like painting, paint. If you feel like writing, write.
If you feel like trading, record your session with OBS and practice on a demo to share with the community.
If you feel like dancing, dance. That will connect you with who you are and will fill you with strength to keep doing it.
Do you trade while drinking?
I trade when I trade.
I vape cannabis and I like some spirits, but they are part of my life and not something I do specifically to achieve something.
It is different to vape to get really high or drink alcohol to get drunk.
So I don’t give myself a test before doing things in my life, because I build by being as I happen to be at all times and in all places ![]()
And that implies that I might execute a trade after sharing a bottle of wine, for example.
And without any problem.
But I am going on 8 years of trading. And when I started in this, I made very bad decisions both sober, drunk, and high.
Because what determines the results is our consciousness, which transcends any altered state we may maintain during a certain and fleeting span of time.
By relativizing things, we understand that people can have an accident while sober, and airplane pilots can resolve a landing while totally under the influence.
That is not good or bad, it just is.
And the point I find in this story is that if we focus our energy on what we want to do, everything adds up.
Even alcohol (which at the same time destroys so many lives without purpose)
Because it is not so much about the alcohol, nor the time or the money…
But about what we do with it.
No-disclaimer
I had periods in my life where I drank more alcohol than I felt was reasonable (almost every day, in quantity, for a few months).
And I don’t regret it, nor do I suggest it, because I didn’t feel good doing it.
But today I understand that I was masking a reality that I preferred not to be present for at that moment.
The curious thing is that today I discover that the bursts of creativity that alcohol consumption naturally generates…
Impelled me (in some way) to be the one who is writing this to you ![]()
Nothing is right, nothing is wrong. We are part of everything.
I would greatly value knowing your experience with alcohol, because it is very everyday and mundane but at the same time super profound.
